Fundamental analysis as a trading strategy

There are two different ways to develop your trading strategy. One of them, trading which is based on the economic agenda is called Fundamental Analysis. Here the focus is on the publication of macroeconomic data issued by major powers in the world.

Fundamental analysis focuses on financial and economic theories and political developments in order to determine their affects in the supply and demand.

Most of the publications are done in the first week of the month. On Wednesday (this month the last day of the month), the interest rates of the Fed (USA) announced followed by the ECB interest rate on Thursday (Europe) and Friday the most important number of the month - the non farm payrolls -  are published. 

To give you an example, the image below gives the fluctuation in the market after the Fed's monetary policy and interest rate have been communicated last month. The publication caused a huge fluctuation of over 150 PIPS in the EUR / USD within a period of about one hour.

Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 20:00 hours, the FED its interest rate republish plus there will be a press conference by Governor Bernanke on economic forecasts of the United States.

Fundamentele Analyse als handelsstrategie; 

Economische Agenda Woensdag

Er zijn twee verschillende manieren om uw handelsstrategie te ontwikkelen. Het handelen op basis van de economische agenda wordt ook wel Fundamentele Analyse genoemd. Hierbij wordt de focus gelegd op de publicatie van macro-economische cijfers die worden uitgegeven door grootmachten in de wereld.

Fundamentele Analyse focust zich op financiële en economische theorieën en politieke ontwikkelingen om zo de invloed op vraag en aanbod te bepalen.

Voornamelijk de eerste week van de maand is hier erg belangrijk in. Op woensdag (deze maand de laatste dag van de maand) worden de rentecijfers van de FED (VS) bekend gemaakt, op donderdag volgt de ECB (Europa) en op vrijdag worden de non farm payrolls gepubliceerd. 

Om u een voorbeeld te geven, op 19 juni 2013, om 20:00 uur heeft de FED haar monetaire beleid en het rentecijfer gecommuniceerd. Dit heeft destijds voor een enorme fluctuatie gezorgd van ruim 150 PIPS in de EUR/USD binnen een tijdsbestek van ongeveer een uur.

Woensdag 31 juli 2013 om 20:00 uur gaat de FED haar rentecijfer opnieuw publiceren plus er wordt een persconferentie gegeven door Gouveneur Bernanke over economische voorspellingen van de Verenigde Staten.

LET OP: deze cijfers kunnen enorme fluctuaties met zich meebrengen!
